‘Signature Stylish Marketer’ by University of Kelaniya takes world of fashion by storm

Signature, the preferred youth brand for men’s fashion, recently embarked on a new venture in collaboration with the Marketing Division of the University of Kelaniya aimed at promoting the student-led annual fashion extravaganza, now titled ‘Signature Stylish Marketer’.

‘Stylish Marketer’ is the annual fashion extravaganza organised by the Future Marketers Association, the official student association of the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya, a media release from Signature brand owner, Hameedia said.

The ‘Signature Stylish Marketer’ is a reality show in which young models and designers from all universities are eligible to participate in by completing a series of tasks before reaching the grand finale stage. During the exciting process of completing their tasks, Signature as a brand guided the contestants and provided the optimum support for them to make it through these tough tasks, for example, instructing them on power dressing. This platform helps contestants to gain valuable exposure. The local university students compete in this event to be crowned the ‘Signature Stylish Marketer’ of the year. Two winners are finally selected at the grand finale, the release said.

The winners at this edition of the Signature Stylish Marketer by University of Kelaniya were: 1st Place Male model category – Isanka Amaransinghe; 1st Place Female model category – Pavani Withanage; 1st Place Male designer category – Priyanwada Adikari; and 1st Female designer category – Hansi Bulathgaha.

Commenting on the partnership, General Manager of Signature, Indika Perera said, “Signature as a brand is perceived as a trend setter in the men’s wear fashion industry”.

The finale was witnessed by leading personalities in the fashion and beauty world. Fouzul Hameed, the Managing Director of Hameedia and Guest of Honour for the evening, said, “I was thoroughly impressed with ‘Signature Stylish Marketer’ and how it benefits the contestants. We saw some tremendous talent at the event and I commend Signature for providing them with this platform by sponsoring this annual event. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the University of Kelaniya for organising such a beneficial event which uplifts young models and designers.”
