The Heywood Realists – many from rural areas are keenly aware of the socio-political realities of modern-day life in Sri Lanka and the issues of globalization, technology, media culture etc which impact their life. Their technique is to paint realistically with sharp finishes, human figures in a way that projects classic academic drawing and painting techniques.
