In a small house in Minuwangoda lives a man clinging on to the last vestiges of hope. Jagath Prasanna, was dealt a cruel hand by fate when he was diagnosed with cancer after discovering a lump on his neck. Admitted to the Cancer Hospital at Maharagama he had to undergo surgery.
Married with two sons, Jagath’s wife has now assumed the major role as breadwinner making and packaging murukku and selling it to wayside shops around the area as he is confined to bed. To pay off their medical bills Jagath has mortgaged his house and as the date for repayment draws near he grows anxious for the future of his family.

His two sons are both schooling with the oldest being in Grade 10.Most days the family goes hungry. Jagath worries how long they can afford to keep the boys in school, food on the table and a roof over their heads.

Going through such hard times, Jagath is seeking the support of any kind donors to help the family in their hour of need.

Any donations could be sent to the family’s bank account No. 8330027439 at the Commercial Bank, Minuwangoda, in the name of R.P. K Jagath Prasanna. The family is contactable on 0776135064.
