Easy win for Colombo FC

Colombo FC scored an easy 3-0 win over Solid SC Anurdhapura in the Dialog Champions League Super Eight Round at the Kelaniya Football Complex yesterday.

The Sri Lanka Football Federation is conducting the tournament. The winners of this competition will receive a cash prize of Rs. 700.000.

Matches of the Super Eight Round will be played on every week-end up to February 25 ,26.

At the end of the first half Colombo FC led 1-0 with David Osage scoring the goal in the 32nd minute. In the second half Colombo FC scored two goals through A.R.A. Shazny in the 69th minute. The second goal in the second half was scored by H.V. N.Kanishka (90th minute).

Matches in the Super Eight Round came to a halt as the Sri Lanka team toured Cambodia and Malaysia and due to heavy rain which followed in December.

The tournament re-started on Friday with Sri Lanka Air Force and Blue Star Kalutara figuring in a nil all draw.

Today: Renown SC vs New Youngs SC Wennappuwa. Tomorrow (Monday): Army SC vs Navy SC. All matches at Kelaniya Football Complex.
