Two theatrical presentations, Prof Ediriweera Sarachchandra’s ever-popular stylistic play ‘Maname’ and young playwright Sujeewa Priyal’s maiden production “Lawrencege Manamalee” will be staged at Lionel Wendt Theatre, Colombo.

Written by Hemantha Prasad, “Lawrencege Manamalee” starring Duleeka Marapana, Sampath Jayaweera, Maali Jayaweerage, Hemantha Prasad and Sujeewa Priyal himself will be staged at 3.30 pm and 7.00 pm on November 17.

Produced by Praveen Kulasinghe and Janaka Siriwardene and organised by Jude Srimal, this would be the final show for the year 2016.

The tickets that were purchased for the play that was scheduled to go on the boards on November 5 and cancelled due to the week of mourning for the demise of musical maestro Pandit W. D. Amaradeva are valid for the this show.

Prof. Sarathchandra’s “Maname” will be staged at 3.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. on November 18 and tickets are available at Lionel Wendt Theatre.
