One time Sri Lanka’s one of the most popular night club ‘Little Hut’ at the Mount Lavinia Hotel opened its doors again on Saturday, 12th November.

The Hut was closed down due to insecure situation during the troublesome period a decade ago.

The soft opening was held on 25th October for travel agents and ardent Hut fans of yesteryear. The new premises will feature live music every Thursday and Friday night featuring bands Mintaka and Indigo. Friday is dedicated for 70s and 80s music, while ‘The Hut’ will operate as a Salsa Club on Saturdays.

Sundays will feature a traditional roast for lunch with live entertainment for the whole family.

The entertainment for the evening featured Jazz trumpeter Mal Jennings from Australia backed up by Jazz in Focus.
