An entertaining evening which took the audience on a roller coaster ride of emotions ‘Charmed 2016’ a sold out production by the Drama Society of St. Bridget’s Convent last month.

The entertainment began with ‘Just like I wanted’ a drama which left the audience in tears as they journeyed with a victim of teenage suicide, a statement from the school said. The next play to take the stage was a comedy ‘Cinderella’.
The final play ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ was yet again different, with a beautiful set including a giant spider web. With everything from fairies, to the comical mechanicals and the confused humans all adding to the subtle humour of the play while sustaining the underlying nuances of a darker tale.
The evening also included a variety of dance items ranging from ballet to hip-hop and several vocal performances.
The show was directed by Malinthi Perera under the guidance of the Principal Rev. Sr. Alexandra Mendis.
