Onion farmers’ protest

Onion farmers in Dambulla have been demanding that the government should take measures to purchase their harvest as the prodouction has been high this year. They claimed that the free flow of imported onions were also affecting them. Farmers are seen demanding that the imports of onions be scaled down and local purchases increased.
