Printcare Plc was recently honoured at the Presidential Export Awards with two awards in the Printing category for 2014 and 2015.  The awards recognise Printcare as the largest exporter of printing services from Sri Lanka for the past two years, a company media release said.  Printcare ended the 2015/16 financial year with pre-tax up by 13 per cent to Rs. 425 million from Rs. 376 million a year ago. A slightly depressed global economy, underpinned by low commodity prices, Russia’s geo-political and economic woes, China’s economic realignment, and conflicts in the Middle East impacted the group’s topline growth. It said revenues for the year increased marginally by 2 per cent to Rs. 5.2 billion.

“However, the group improved profitability by focusing on increased value addition in its export orders and its niche print products. Our ability to collaborate with our customers, to understand their needs, and win together has been instrumental in growing stakeholder value,” noted K.R. Ravindran, Managing Director of Printcare, who also recently ended his term as Rotary International President, the first Sri Lankan to hold this post.  The company comes under the Dilmah Group and Printcare chairman Merril J. Fernando said, “Our growth in profits last year, and our success over the years have been driven by our ability to go the extra mile and continuously deliver innovative high quality products and exceptional service, to our customers”.
