Alliance Finance marks 60 years, wins accolades over the years for innovative solutions
View(s):Alliance Finance Co (AFC), one of Sri Lanka’s oldest and trusted finance companies, recently celebrated 60 years of service spanning four generations of customers across the country. Commencing operations six decades ago, with just five employees, the company today has 1,200 employees across the length and breadth of the country, a company media release said. Commenting on the milestone, Emmanuel Muttupulle, the company’s Chief Operations Officer of the company said, “Despite being the third-oldest finance company in the country, AFC has successfully evolved with the times and is proud to be a preferred partner for thousands of citizens across the nation.”
AFC’s current product portfolio in investment solutions comprises of savings and fixed deposits, while its financing solutions portfolio consists of leasing, hire purchase and gold loans, and its own innovative collaboration finance product. The company has pioneered many innovative financial solutions in the market over the years and won many awards for its innovative solutions. Inn 2015, AFC received an international accolade for its sustainable business products with a Merit Award at the Global Sustainable Finance Awards organised by the European Union Organisation for Sustainable Development –EOSD, in Karlshruhe, Germany. It serves a customer base of over 133,000 active customers with a portfolio of Rs. 19.3 billion through a network of 87 points of presence across 23 districts nationwide.
