The new-generation Toyota Fortuner has debuted in Sri Lanka and now on display at Toyota Lanka show rooms in Colombo, Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, the sole authorised distributor for Toyota vehicles in Sri Lanka announced.  The Toyota Fortuner is based on an all-new platform called TNGA which stands for ‘Toyota new-generation Architecture. The new platform is claimed to be 10 per cent more fuel efficient than the existing ‘KD’ series, the company said adding that the stiffer yet lighter than the current-gen model’s platform improves the vehicle’s ride and handling.

The Toyota Fortuner 2016 is expected to return a mileage around 12kmpl – 14kmpl, it said.  Much emphasis has been placed on the seating arrangements and storage space in order to make this SUV versatile and multi-purpose. Safety is also another key ingredient in the successful design of the Fortuner with a plethora of safety measures put in place to ensure peace of mind during every drive, the release revealed.
