6th Mercantile Badminton Doubles Championships 2016 kicks off
The HDD Ex Group/Li-Ning sponsored 6th Mercantile Badminton Doubles Championships 2016 got under way yesterday at the Mercantile Badminton Headquarters Stadium, Malalasekera Mawatha, Colombo 7, and will continue till June 26, with a break today for Poson Poya.
A total of 693 players including 22 national players constituting 62 teams from 47 companies, will compete for supremacy in the Grand Slam, Cup, Plate, Bowl and Novices segments.
Semi-finals of all categories will be on June 25, followed by matches for the 3rd spot on June 26 at 9 am. Finals of all segments will be played on the same day commencing 11 am, with the Awards Ceremony at 4 pm.
