In a letter to the Sunday Times Sports, rugby coach Preethikumar Fernando claims that his statement which he gave over the phone has been misinterpreted.  He says that on May 12, one of our sports correspondents spoke to him over the phone and sought his views on TMO at a rugby match. He says he expressed his views but what we published on our May 15th issue was a wrong version of his statement. “I very clearly told him my idea, that if a TMO {system} is implemented at a Rugger Match it is a very good thing and a good move and it will be transparent to everyone but it will be very costly.”  Sports Editor Notes: We stand by what our reporter wrote.
