SINGER Sri Lanka and Bradby Shield — the bond grows stronger
The blue riband of schools rugby calendar, the coveted Bradby shield, played between Trinity College, Kandy and Royal College,Colombo will be sponsored for yet another year by SINGER Sri Lanka PLC. The partnership between Bradby Shield and this commercial giant kicked off in 1989, making this is the 27th consecutive year. In addition, the company is also sponsoring the 1st XV rugby teams of both Royal College and Trinity College, as they battle out with several other teams in the 2016- SINGER schools rugby league tournament organized by Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association( SLSRFA).
The company has gone one step further by helping the rugby infrastructure development of both schools. As a result, the various facilities at the Royal College Sports Complex and the Trinity College rugby grounds in Pallekale have been uplifted with the construction of pavillions, score boards and other related facilities for players and spectators.
