Blind choir sings in five languages As Christmas approaches, the Choir of the Sri Lanka Federation for Blind has been hard at practice getting ready with a full complement of Christmas carols and seasonal favourites. The choir of blind singers is adept at four-part harmony and its repertoire includes Sinhala, English and Tamil carols interspersed with German and Swedish verses. The choir has performed at many leading hotels and other institutions over the years and looks forward to invitations for this season, too. The choir is available for performances of 20 to 40 minute duration and can be remunerated on a reasonable basis by mutual agreement with due consideration for practices, transport, appropriate dress and other requirements. Those who wish to help these deserving singers could contact Dinidu Suranga, Assistant Administrative Secretary of the Sri Lanka Federation of the Blind, on 2437768/0716 875510; email : slfvh@outlook.com
