Founded by the youngest Toastmaster in Sri Lanka, Arshad Mohideen, this club began a new chapter on September 19 – at its charter installation ceremony that installed the club’s Charter President Nisal Weerakoon.

The club draws youth with an exuberance and energy representing the urban Sri Lankan people of Colombo, a media release issued by the club stated.

Keynote speaker on the occasion Ms. Stephanie Siriwardana, spoke on personality branding, and the importance of driving towards your dreams.
The ceremony was further uplifted by the presence and address of the chief guest DTM Arunasalam Balraj, who is currently the first Vice President of Toastmasters International, it was stated.

He asked members to make the most of their membership and anticipate eagerly for the exciting Revitalised Educational Programme.

Mr. Arshad believes the birth of this club would not have been possible without the assistance of a few passionate individuals, including the club’s Charter President Weerakoon, the chief guest, DTM Arunasalam Balraj, and its current membership.

He noted in the media release that the incoming president’s focus would help build the foundation for a high-spirited club that has the potential to truly be the voice of Colombo.
