The incident which took place at Khettarama a few days back shocked the nation. However investigations reveal that a certain official had been allocated to spot such happenings. This official, who is said to be drawing a fat salary for practically doing nothing, had been in a special box with some friends watching the game. They had been so sizzled to notice what had happened and never even noticed that stones that had been thrown to the ground to disrupt the game!

OURSELVES FIRST
The higher authorities had recommended that those who have given a good name for sports should be recommended to be JPs. This particular body voted to give themselves a pat on the back and decided to recommend themselves! Also on the same sport a top official had requested for a ticket to go Down Under to attend a World Congress. One official had attended such a committee a few years back in Jamaica paying her own way.

This is not the first time that an official who is also holding a top level post at the Asian level had attended a World Congress pointed out the committee. So why can’t this official do the same, they asked.

PAPARE BAND THE PICK

At a game played with tennis balls the space normally allocated to the Press was given to a papare band.
When the skies opened up, the media men got a thorough ducking! The behaviour of the band was not all that good as they have been mocking at spectators. What is more the local team got the thrashing of their lives!

OVER A GRUDGE
Over now to a past happening where a top official was dealt a blow with a hockey stick in December last year. It was thought that a lady had arranged this bashing over a love affair. It is now revealed that a former secretary of the sport who had a grudge against this official had been responsible for this assault.
