International speakers to address Global Management Accounting Summit 2015 on Integrated Reporting

The Global Management Accounting Summit 2015 on July 27 will serve as a top platform for participants to gain fine insights on Integrated Reporting with renowned international speakers lined up to address the event. Hosted by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA), this year the conference will be held under the theme ‘Business Resilience through Integrated Reporting’.

CMA Sri Lanka said in a media release that the first day technical session will start off with Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake delivering his address as the Chief Guest. This will be followed by International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) President Olivia Kirtley speaking on ‘Integrated Thinking, Integrated Reporting, Role of IFAC in Accountability and Governance’, and Strategy and Integrated Thinking -South Africa Consultant Graham Terry addressing the topic ‘Integrated Thinking as a basic platform of Resilient Business Models’.

The second session will be facilitated by International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) Technical Director (Framework Development) Michael Nugent who will speak on ‘The Complete Architecture of the Integrated Reporting and its Current State of Evolution’ while the third session will see Past President SAFA and Member of IFAC, PAIB Committee A.N. Raman and International Integrated Reporting Council Regional Lead, India, Devesh Rapartiwar address at length the topics ‘Primer on the Accountants Connect with Integrated Thinking and Reporting’, and ‘Building Blocks of the Integrated Reporting,’.

The final session for the day will share insights on ‘GRI and Sustainability Reporting to Migrate to Integrated Reporting’ and ‘Integrated Reporting – Getting Started’, delivered by GRI Director South Asia Dr. Aditi Haldar, and Diesel and Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO) Chief Financial Officer Suresh Guneratne.

Technical session Day 2 will kick, off with Head, Department of Accounting National University of Singapore (NUS) Prof. Ho Yew Kee providing an overview on ‘Development of Integrated Reporting in Asia’, followed by Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development, India-Sachin Joshi speaking on ‘The Indian Journey on Integrated Reporting through IR Lab India’.
The three day conference will be brought to a close with a 90 minute panel discussion on the topic ‘Business Success and Value Creation through Integrated Reporting’.

The session that will be moderated by A.N. Raman will have as its panellist’s speakers, Russell Guthrie (IFAC), Michael Nugent (IIRC), Dr. Aditi Haldar (GRI India), Graham Terry (Strategy and Integrated Thinking – South Africa), Suresh Guneratne (DIMO), Prof. Ho Yew Kee (NUS) and Dr. Joydeep Chatterjee (Kirloskar Brothers Ltd).
