A quick-fire 103-ball knock of 116 inclusive of four boundaries and nine sixes by Dhananjaya Lakshan helped defending champions Richmond record a comfortable 90 run win over Joseph Vaz Wennappuwa in their second round match of the Under-17 Division I cricket tournament played at Wennappuwa.

The match curtailed to 40 overs saw Richmond taking first lease of the wicket making a score of 228 for 7. Later Kamindu Mendis and Avindu Theekshana shared seven wickets between them to bowl out the Vazians for a low score of 138. St. Aloysius Galle too recorded their second win when they defeated St. Sylvester’s by 76 runs in the match played at Rathgama.

In the other matches played Holy Cross Kalutara, St. Mary’s Chilaw, S. Thomas’, Devapathiraja MMV, Royal, St. Anthony’s Wattala and Dharmasoka MV won their second round matches.
