Hemas’ Shiromi Masakorala wins Gold for ‘Leadership Excellence in Corporate Media’

Shiromi Masakorala, Head of Group Sustainability and Corporate Communications at Hemas Holdings PLC last week won the prestigious and coveted Gold Award in “Leadership Excellence in Corporate Media” at the Women in Management Awards 2015.

Leading the Hemas’ award-winning Piyawara CSR initiative, she is an Executive Director of the Hemas Outreach Foundation and has been heading the Company’s Corporate Communications Division since 2003. She has also undergone periodic local and foreign training in corporate communications and has been extensively working with the Sri Lankan print and electronic media, the company said.

Ms. Masakorala is a Graduate in General Psychology and holds an Advanced Diploma in Developmental Psychology and Counselling Psychology. She is a member of the National Counsellors’ Association of Sri Lanka, the National Committee on ECCD (the policy making body of the Ministry of Children’s Affairs) and is also a Director at the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA).
