Born in Norway in 1964, Ajahn Brahmaāli first became interested in Buddhism and meditation in his early 20s after a visit to Japan. He read for his Master’s degree in engineering and finance before renouncing the world of industry and commerce to be ordained as a bhikkhu in 1996 with Ajahn Brahmavamso as his preceptor. Ajahn Brahmali resides at Ajhan Brahm’s Bodhinyana Monastery in Perth, Australia and is one of the monks who conducts meditation retreats at the Jhana Grove, the meditation centre attached to the Monastery in Perth.

After the Poya programme in Colombo, Ajahn Brahmali will conduct an eight-day meditation retreat at Bandarawela for monks.
