Local private sector IT-BPO body SLASSCOM will soon host a forum on “best practices in finance transformation” in conjunction with Sri Lanka’s Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, according to a statement.

Scheduled for May 14, at The Stables, at Park Street Mews, from 7:30 a.m. onwards, the event features a number of international speakers, including Sanjay Patel, Managing Director, GBS Finance Services, Rio Tinto; Vinod Bidarkoppa, Director – Group IT and Chief Information Officer at Tesco HSC; and Rajaram Natarajan, Global Delivery Lead – Healthcare, Concentrix India.

In addition, the forum also encompasses local expert speakers like Dr. Arul Sivagananathan, Managing Director, Hayleys Industrial Solutions and Director HBSI; Chandima Cooray, Chief Process Officer, Hemas Holdings PLC; Fadhil Jiffry, Chief Financial Officer, MillenniumIT; and Hariharan Padmanaban, Director, Business Development, H-Connect.

According to a media release from the organisers, the event addresses the “opportunities and best practices relevant to finance business partners in light of global development in technology, data analytics and global business development strategies. These industry experts will share global best practices that enable Sri Lankan business leaders to optimise their approach and focus towards the finance transformation and global business model innovation through practical and actionable insights”.
