Small Drayton Sports Club recorded an astounding 3-2 victory against Young Mates Football Club to annex the Hatton League Football Championship 2015 and thus claim the D.W. Harrison Silva Cup in the final played at the Dunbar Football ground in Hatton last week. Though the first half was entirely dominated by Small Drayton, they had to strive to defend the retaliation of Young Mates who scored two goals after the turnaround. However Small Drayton stood to their ground and did not allow the opponents from raking over an unlikely win.

The tournament was contested by 10 top teams who were pruned down after 25 Division I games and 66 Division II matches. The tournament was conducted for the sixth year under the patronage of Navin Dissanayake, the Minister of Sports and Tourism and Ranjith Rodrigo, the President of Football Federation of Sri Lanka.
