The Commons Coffee House, well known for its extensive coffee house theme and menu, launched a new Sri Lankan speciality menu highlighting local cuisine with a creative twist, to enjoy in the newly refurbished courtyard. Adding a warm ambience, the garden courtyard, with the lanterns lit at night , the occasional welcome breeze and the Rotti Cart outlet, offers a enjoyable option from dining inside.

The menu highlights creative presentations of our own local favourites. Some are ‘must ‘try’s.. Hopper range has a choice of stuffed or topped hoppers with egg and seeni sambol, tandoori chicken, prawn masala or crab meat and traditional milk or jaggery hoppers. Extensive Kottu range on offer from Prawns pini kottu, Dalla and an interesting ‘Anam Manang Kottu’ tossed with a variety of ingredients. Adding more to the Commons specials they serve string godamba and a dry fruit and nut string hopper also.

Not forgetting the home, specialty – Pol rotti which is offered, stuffed with crab meat, Tandoori Chicken, Cheese and Seeni sambol and more.  There is the ‘Steam Bar’ with the choice of everyone’s favourite, Plain, savory or Kurakkan Pittu. All of the above is served with a choice of curries ranging from ambul thiyal, Mutton, Chicken, Beef, Babath or Prawn.
