It has been six years since the De Lanerolle Brothers, well known singers from their very young days became a brand – launching themselves as a duo. Today Rohan and Ishan occupy a special niche in the music scene and keeping to the tradition of their anniversary shows, they presented ‘Live 6’ on March 3 at Waters Edge.

Ishan and Rohan: A show to remember

Known for more than their rich tones, the Brothers entertained their audience with lively renditions of evergreen numbers that have constantly been requested by their faithful fans who met this show with the same enthusiasm they had greeted the preceding concerts. It was sold out days before the date.

The evening started off in soulful style with the Brothers singing their signature romantic ballads and the classic hits they have made their own these past six years. There were too, songs that were of sentimental meaning to the Brothers, including the first number they had sung together as a duo, the Engelbert Humperdinck favourite – ‘Eyes of Love’.

The evening took a swinging turn as the audience was treated to a session of dance music, covering waltzes, cha-cha beats and even a few songs that had couples doing the twist.

Sharing with their audience that the road hasn’t been easy, this concert for the performers was an evening of expressing their gratitude to their fans, a toast to good music and friendship.
