Forbes Travel Guide recently unveiled its 57th list of worldwide Star Rating recipients, including 18 new Five-Star hotels, 46 new Four-Star hotels and 26 new hotels in the recommended category, a media release issued by the company stated.

As Forbes Travel Guide expands its ratings worldwide, the number of Five-Star hotels now totals 115 — the most in the company’s history, it was stated.

Forbes Travel Guide recognised the finest properties in the markets it rates, which also named 10 new Five-Star restaurants, bringing the total to 55. Seven new spas achieved Forbes Travel Guide’s highest honour, pushing the tally to 48 Five-Star spas, the release stated.

For Singapore, Forbes Travel Guide had awarded a total of five new wins this year – one new Four-Star Hotel, one new Five-Star Restaurant, two new Four-Star Restaurants and one new Four-Star Spa, to Marina Bay Sands Singapore, the release said.“It is an honour for Marina Bay Sands and our establishments to be recognized by the renowned Forbes Travel Guide. This achievement underscores our world-class services – our prestigious Five-star win for Waku Ghin and the recognition for our Hotel, Banyan Tree Spa, CUT and Osteria Mozza inspire us to do even better. We will continue to reinvest, reinvent and re-define the best experiences for our guests from all over the world,” said Ian Wilson, Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations at Marina Bay Sands.

Besides the new wins, the Five-Star recipients for hotels, restaurants and spas in Singapore were similar as last year including The Fullerton Bay Hotel and Capella Singapore. These wins have further boosted Singapore’s position as a luxury tourist destination, it was stated.
