The German Embassy celebrated 25 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall on Sunday, November 9, with a festival at the Vihara Maha Devi Park.

The highlight of the event was a special 3D rendering of the Berlin Wall, painted by young people from the embassy’s partner schools in the Colombo area, which was ‘brought down’ by Ambassador Juergen Morhard. The Ambassador was joined on stage by the EU Ambassador David Daly, Chargé D’ affairs of the Romanian Embassy Victor Chiujdea and French Ambassador Jean-Paul Monchau.

The event featured amateur performances during the open mic segment followed by performances by the Sri Lanka youth dance troupe, NAADRO, NaTANDA dance theatre and Glory.
