Korean romantic comedy, “Boys Over Flowers”, one of Asia’s most popular television dramas hit the local small screens from August 11 on Derana TV. Dubbed in Sinhala the teleserial will be telecast every weekday (Monday to Friday) at 8.30p.m. Originally run on Korean television, “Boys Over Flowers” has been dubbed in to several languages and telecast more than 25 countries all over the world. Sweeping ratings and had won many awards across Asia in 2009 and 2010, the serial is one of the biggest Korean drama hits in the recent past.

The drama spins the modern-day Cinderella story of a poor, but spunky schoolgirl Geum jan di who accidently got a chance to attend exclusive shinhwa high school by a Scholarship and attracts the interest of the famous F4’s , ultra-rich, handsome and arrogant princes of the school Gu jun pyo, Yoon ji hoo, so yi- jeong, and song woo-bin. Gu jun pyo is the leader of F4’s and most arrogant and wealthy person among others and fall in love with Geum Jan di. But his love brings lots of trouble to Geum jan di’s life.
