As an encouragement to the Sri Lankan athletes representing Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow, Supun Ranaweerasinghe (Suppa) Sajee Lamahewa with Chill Out musical band have launched ‘Glory Sri Lanka’, the very first Commonwealth Game song last week.

‘This song was produced in just 7 days inspired by the feedback received from the friends and media for the song we did for FIFA World Cup. This song is in both Sinhala and English’ Suppa said.

‘We will be releasing this on You Tube at the same time and our plan is to get all Sri Lankan You Tube viewers to get together to wish our athletes with positive comments on You Tube. If we can get 50% of You Tube viewers to wish our athletes as comments this video should get to the TOP 10 most commented videos in the world’ he explained.

Thus it will create a goodwill to the country and it will create opportunities internationally to all talented artists in Sri Lanka. And also this might be the first in the world to support a national sporting team via a song on You Tube.
