An Ode to our cricketers
View(s):Bravo, to Sri Lankas gallant cricket band,
You brought glory to our small but great land,
By taming the world’s awesome cricketing powers,
To make sure the T20 crown is ours
O! How bravely you fought against all odds,
In the Final, ever alert, sans any nods,
To overcome a mighty cricket force,
And charter a heroic, triumphant, victory course
It was an epitome of teamwork at play,
All battling together, in a well knit way,
That, “Unity is Strength” was shown in ample measure,
As our warriors grabbed the World Cup treasure.
