Rajitha Rupasinghe and his team from the band Misty was in attendance at the Q&A session at the ‘Guitar Centre’ at Rockville Washington, DC conducted by the legendary bassist Nathan East. Band Misty is currently on tour to the US and Canada. They visited the ‘Guitar Centre’ at Rockville, Washington followed by the concert and the well patronized dance organized by the Sri Lankan Community in Washington on Saturday 29th March.

‘Nathan is so humble and a down to earth person who answered all our question and spend time posing pictures, signing autographs and mingling with us for some time’ Rajitha said. Nathan is a session musician and he is the brand ambassador for YAMAHA bass guitars. He is a true legend, who had played with Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Andrea Bochelli, David Foster, Michael McDonald, Larry Carlton and he is a founder member of the smooth Jazz band ‘Four Play’.

‘Nathan has just returned from a tour with Eric Clapton and TOTO’ Rajitha added.Further more he performed at the recently concluded Grammy Awards with Daft Punk featuring Steve Wonder and Nile Rogers. Daft Punk won four Grammys that night for their hit single ‘Get.’ ‘We asked several questions in regard to music and how you jell with celebrity musicians on stage and we learnt heaps. The knowledge that we gathered was enormous’ Misty will be here in Colombo for the New Year celebrations. They will come alive in a couple of shows in Nuwara Eliya and in Colombo for the Avurudu Holidays.

The band will fly to Singapore again in the fourth week of April, where they will come alive at Singapore International Concert Stadium on 25 April.
Misty will move to Down Under for three dances and concerts in May. Rajitha and the boys will be in action in Sydney on 10 May followed by 17 May in Melbourne and on 24 May in Brisbane.
