DIMO steps in to offer total road paving technology solutions
View(s):Diesel&Motor Engineering Plc (DIMO) is offering total solutions in road paving technology for Sri Lanka’s innfrastructure development projects countrywide in association with BOMAG Worldwide manufacturer and distributor of compaction equipment Paver series in the island, company officials said.
The company has supplied a brand new BOMAG paver to Finite Lanka (Private) Limited for the use of it in the construction of Greater Colombo Outer Circular road project
The first ever BOMAG Paver was handed over to Ajith Bogahawatta, Managing Director of Finite Lanka (Private) Limited by DIMO Chairman Ranjith Pandithage.
The BOMAG Asphalt Paver can achieve 93% initial compaction which is the highest in the industry and it has a unique feature of Aluminum heat plates which saves not only fuel cost and time on initial heating but also reduces the time required for cooling of the screed for service and maintenance. BOMAG Paver has its patented side view which gives perfect visibility to the site and the operating console is designed to the highest ergonomic standard for ease of operation and instinctive handling.”
The Construction and Machinery Division of DIMO is handling all types of construction especially road projects.
A five day training program on Paving technology was conducted by BOMAG with practical paving for civil and mechanical engineers representing leading construction companies.
Owners and Managing Directors of all leading road construction and development related companies in Sri Lanka took part in the event.
