Sri Lankan capital market May road show in London

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) and the Securities and Exchange Commission are launching a joint road show in association with the London Stock Exchange (LSE) in London next month, the CSE said.

The Business Times reported this event last November in an interview with Ibukun Adebayo, Co-Head Emerging Markets, Primary Markets – LSE. He was quoted as saying, “This (road show) is similar to the one we had in 2010 in London. The feedback has been quite good. Therefore we decided to hold another.” He said that 2010 roadshow saw 95 London firms participating and he felt that the response this time will greater.

Several listed firms have come forward to be showcased during the road show scheduled on 30 May. They are John Keells Holdings PLC, Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, Ceylinco Insurance PLC, Hayleys PLC, Access Engineering PLC, Softlogic Holdings PLC and Tokyo Cement Company (Lanka) PLC.
