First ever Stag TT C’ship in Sri Lanka on Jan. 25 and 26
View(s):The first ever Stag Table Tennis ranking championship in Sri Lanka will be held for the Western Province on January 25 and 26 at S.Thomas’ indoor stadium in Mt.Lavinia.
This tournament will have categories of Under-8, Under-10, Under-12, Under-15, Under-18 Girls/Boys, and Open Men’s/Women’s
Stag Table Tennis Academy President Sanjeewa Mendis said that there is a huge scope for TT in Sri Lanka and that the prime objective to hold this tournament is to popularise and upgrade the game in the country. He further said that more than 500 players are expected to participate in this tournament.He also said some of the best TT players in the country like Rohan Sirisena, Shanaka Ganegama, Milinda Lakshan and Sajith Kavinda will be participating in this tournament. Furthermore the two most outstanding players of this tournament will be presented with two TT tables while each player who participated in this tournament will be presented with a certificate while the participants in the U-8, U-10 and U-12 categories will receive a gift along with the certificate. There are hosts of other prizes and surprises for the other winners as well
This tournament is organised by the Stag Table Tennis Academy of Sri Lanka
