Christmas falls in the month of December. Christians all over the world celebrate this festival on a grand scale. They celebrate it to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ who was one of the greatest teachers in the world.

Jesus Christ was born on December 25 long ago in a small stable in Bethlehem. He was known as the ‘Saviour of the Jews’ at that time. Throughout his life he strived hard to bring peace, happiness and prosperity to the land by spreading Christianity.
December is a month for fun and merry making. People get together, sing carols, give money and gifts to the poor amidst enjoying with their families. Shops blaze with lights, full of Christmas cheer. Scrumptious dinners consisting of roast turkey, beef, sausages, mince pies, Christmas puddings and fruits are heaped up on dining tables. People rich and poor alike forget their troubles and cheer up. Children who believe in Santa Claus eagerly look forward for his arrival. People all enjoy Christmas joyfully.
