Well-known Sinhala playwright who is credited for his previous productions like ‘Purankethe Pambaya’, ‘Meda Peradiga’, ‘Semada Niyan’ and ‘Hate Watte’ will stage his latest play ‘Ela Pambaya’ on December 21 at 6.30 pm at Jayasinghe hall, Dehiwela.
Organised in aid of ‘Karuna Guna’ social services foundation, the play stars Dayasiri Hettiarachchi, Diman Hettiarachchi, Rupa Gomes, Mahesh Hemachandra Perera, Sugath Shantha Moragahakumbura, Sonali Aluthgama, Sandun Sameera, Manori Sagarika, Lahiru Sandaruwan, Lakmini Tillakaratne, Heshan Kumara Wijayanga, Nisha Rokshani, Pradeep Kulasena, Asantha Wijeratne and Piyumi Ishara.

Rodney Warnakula and Damayanthi Jayasuriya do playback singing to the lyrics of G. Kularatne and Nalaka Bandara Navaratne and music direction of Sarath Wickrema. Madhushka Gimhana handles make up, Malmi Thilanka choreography, R. S. K. Jayasiri the lighting, Mahinda Wijesekara and G. D. Dayaratne production management and Ranjith Silva and Sanjaya Priyantha the stage settings. ‘Ela Pambaya’ is produced by Gamini Suwaris and Sumith Perera.
