A bunch of boys and girls aged 6 to 12, in and around Colombo participated in a fun-filled experience which intended to build up their personalities, and to help them progress in their communication skills in English during this August holiday.

The Young Learners Vacation Workshop, which was carried out for 4 days was organized by the Rainbow Institute of Communication and English located at 44/1, Haig Road, Bambalapitiya.

The vacation programme featured an exciting line up of communication and games, art, handicrafts, music, speech and drama.

The children were trained on etiquette and grooming, T shirt dying, making personalized photos frames, decorating a cake and team work through model making (clay and paper pulp).

The programme concluded with a concert where the children displayed the skills they acquired through the workshop, with song and dance and performance of a novel children’s play written by Ms. Sandra Fernando.
