President’s College Kotte overcame Dudley Senanayake MV Narahenpita by six wickets in their Under-17 Division II pre-quarterfinal cricket encounter, played at the Peterson Grounds in Wellawatta. President’s College won the toss and elected to field first. Dudley Senanayake MV, playing with only nine members, were bowled out for 140 in 18 overs. P S Hettiarachchi scored 66 runs off 46 balls with eight boundaries and four sixes but the rest of the batting collapsed with Lakshan Wickremasinghe capturing five wickets and Kavindu Weerathunge, Anushka Gamage and Dilanka Jayasundera capturing a wicket each.

The 43 extras (3byes, 38 wides and 2nb) conceded by the Dudley Senanayake MV bowlers and the fact that they were playing without two key players helped President’s College win the match for the loss of four wickets in 19.3 overs.
