Fine Italian cars at Taj Samudra

The Italian Car Enthusiasts’ Club of Sri Lanka held the 3rd display of fine Italian Automobiles on August 10th 2013 at the North Lawns of Taj Samudra, Colombo. Every year the Club organizes several events that involve members and their Italian Cars. This year over 40 cars were lined up at the North Lawns car park at Taj Samudra, Colombo and were available for viewing to the general public until 6.00 pm. The congregation consisted of Vintage cars such as Fiats from the 1930’s right up to some of the current exotics like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Maserati.

The Chief Guest for the event was Marco Fazio historian of the Alfa Romeo Company in Italy and the Area Director (Sri Lanka) and General Manager of Taj Samudra Colombo, Mr. Rohit Khosla was also amongst the special invitees for this event.

Over 300 visitors attended the event while a speech was given by Mr. Marco Fazio of Alfa Romeo Italy, the “Count Down to revving up engines” took place where all cars were started and revved at the count down from 10. The event concluded with certificates and gifts from sponsors distributed to all owners of the cars that were displayed at this event.
