Jet crash lands at San Francisco airport

A Boeing 777 aircraft crash landed at San Francisco international airport, news agency reports said last night.  There is no word so far on any casualties at the time of going to press. The aircraft – operated by the South Korean airline Asiana – is on the runway, with plumes of smoke rising from it, BBC reported.

Pictures posted on Twitter show passengers jumping down the inflatable emergency slides and leaving the scene.Firefighters and rescue teams are at the scene. The cause of the emergency is not known.
