Mahinda Kularatne, owner of the Beeta Aquarium, won the 3rd place at an international competition for freshwater planted tanks at Aquarama 2013 exhibition held in Singapore recently.

Aquarama is known to be the largest product specific trade fair for ornamental fish, aquatic plants and accessories. The company said that this is the first time Sri Lanka won an award for a planted tank at an international competition. Mr. Kularatne competed with others from many countries to receive third place at the competition.

With more than 25 years of experience in the field of aquarium tank maintenance and decorations, Beeta Aquarium provides its services to the number of Government and private sector organizations successfully. According to Mr.Kularatne, he started this business on very small level and has now spread across the country.
