Nawaloka Hospitals to set up Negombo unit

The Nawaloka Hospitals Group is setting up a chain of peripheral hospitals across the island with the first one coming up in Negombo.
The company informed the Colombo Stock Exchange on Friday that the 50-to-70 room hospital costing Rs 575 million will be through a fully owned subsidiary, Nawaloka Medicare Pvt Ltd.

Hemas and a few other hospital companies have either opened hospitals outside Colombo or are considering to do so.
