Situated just 16.5 km north of Colombo, the Club House in Uswetakeiyawa was a picture of relaxed comfort, palm trees gently swaying in the wind and a warm welcome from staff.  Being one of the ten tourist locations the Sri Lanka Navy has taken up to help boost the tourism industry in the country, The Club House in Uswetakeiyawa offers sun, sand and sea with a touch of luxury.

The Light House Galley in Colombo, Club House Uswetakeiyawa, Reception Halls in Kantale, Poonewa and Kirindi-oya, Sober Resort and Golf Club in Trincomalee, Fort Hammenhiel, Karainagar, Nature Villa in Panama and Weligambay Villas in Mirissa are the other properties functioning under the flagship of their brand “Malima”.

The Club House resort in Uswetakeiyawa was declared opened by Defence and Urban Development Secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa on June 5 followed by the launch of the website, www.clubhouse.lk.

In answer to the duly felt need for quality accommodation for inbound tourists

the Club House includes a luxury banquet hall; ‘Banquet Bay’, a dining area; ‘Oceanic Hall’ complete with a lounge for corporate functions and the rooftop terrace; ‘Sky Harbour’, aimed at gratifying the high demand in the market for a luxury venue for weddings, corporate functions etc.

Adding to the lavish setting, the Club House has professional service, a standard swimming pool, sufficient parking and an all-inclusive a la carte menu, assured to gratify its customers.

The rooftop terrace; Sky Harbour offers an unforgettable sight of the sunset on a clear evening. Chairman of Malima, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage addressing a news briefing asked all Sri Lankans to come and visit the Club House Uswetakeiyawa and experience nature’s treats while enjoying their hospitality.

“This restaurant is best suited for receptions and corporate events such as get-togethers, day programmes etc. The Club House has two air conditioned reception halls with outdoor swimming pool, bar/lounge at ground floor and an outdoor roof top bar with serene view of the Indian Ocean. Changing rooms and ample guest parking facilities are available on complimentary basis,” said Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage.
