The Federation of University Teachers Association (FUTA) will hold an Executive Committee meeting on Thursday to review the process of implementation of its demands which were agreed upon by the Government, said FUTA president Dr. Nirmal Dewasiri.
He said that, although it was agreed to immediately withdraw circulars that disrupt the autonomy of the university, after the suspension of the strike, no measures have been taken so far to implement them.

He further said that the establishment of a committee to create a separate category for university academics, is also at a standstill, while adding that further decisions on implementation will be taken at the abovementioned meeting.
