‘Creative export’ Priyanka Chopra flying high

Superstar and close friend Shah Rukh Khan recently called actress Priyanka Chopra the country’s first creative export.
Apart from her hugely successful movie movie Barfi! Priyanka”s s first single, ‘In My City’ was produced by the famous RedOne and features American rapper artiste Will.i.am.

The song, inspired by her childhood experiences was launched in India twelve hours before its launch on American channel NFL Network’s event, Thursday Night Football.

She is signed to the same label as international singer Lady Gaga and also shares the same manager, Troy Carter. Ahead of its planned US radio debut, the uptempo dance song, which Chopra co-wrote with RedOne and Esther Dean, sold 5,000 digital copies in its first week.
