National Transport Commission signs up with Mobitel for Mobile Enterprise SolutionsView(s):
Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel last week signed up with the National Transport commission to supply Mobitel Enterprise Solutions with the latest technology driven mobile communications services. The signing of the MoU took place at the National Transport Commission Auditorium in Colombo in the presence of Private Transport Services Minister C.B Rathnayake, along with Roshan Gunawardena, Chairman of NTC and CEO of Mobitel Lalith De Silva.
Minister C.B Rathnayake commented, “At a time when the Government is engaged in a continuous large-scale development program, we have an enormous contribution to make towards this effort, just from the sphere of passenger transport alone. Here effective communication plays a big role to ensure efficiency of our job, and due to its volume, the investment we have to make towards this facility is large. It is in this context that we have signed up with Mobitel as we believe that their innovative Mobile Enterprise Solutions come at an affordable cost and will ensure value for money.
And today I’m grateful to Mobitel for coming forward to partner with us in this endeavor.” Mr. De Silva said, “We look forward to building similar associations with other key government stakeholders and thereby provide an even better and more affordable service to the entire nation.” Mr. Gunewardena noted that, “Our need is to have our Commission’s communication happen in the most efficient manner.”
