Dance photography to celebrate ‘World Dance Day’

Sri Lanka celebrates ‘World Dance Day’, which falls on 29 the April, with a dance photography exhibition at National Art Gallery and the official ceremony will be held at the John de Silva Memorial Theatre.

The celebration is organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Arts, Department of Cultural Affairs and National Dance Council along with National Art Council.

The Dance Photography Exhibition of Chaminda Jayasekera will be held from 10.00 am to 7.00pm under the guidance of Ravibandy Vidyapathi and Chandana Wickremasinghe. There will be fifty dance photographs featuring various forms of dances from Kandyan, Pahatha Rata, Gammadu, Thovil and Stage Dances by Chaminda will be on display.
