Chimes of the 70’s consists of a group of young individuals who have worked hard to separate themselves from any up and coming bands in Sri Lanka by promoting the musical style of the seventies with twists of young and vibrant melodies.

‘Piyaneni’, which is the title of their debut album consists of 15 new tracks of which the music video for one single, Mobile Phone, has already been released. Famous Sri Lankan starts such as Ronnie Leitch and Sanette Dikkumbura also appear in the Mobile Phone music video.

Chimes of the 70’s should also be proud of the fact that many Veteran Sri Lankan artistes such as Bhadraji Mahinda Jayatilaka and Hussain Jiffry, who plays bass guitar on the albums only English track titled, ‘Dreams To Follow’ were also involved in the making of this album.

What makes Chimes of the 70’s even more different from any current band in the local music industry is that its drummer, Udesha Karunanayake, is the youngest drummer in Sri Lanka at the age of nine.
By having so many veteran artistes involved and by having such young talent in this band, Chimes of the 70’s is bound to reach music lovers all across the island and bring about the Revival of Sinhala Pop music.

Question: What is the name of Chimes of 70’s debut album?
