No strikes, unrest at Sri Lanka’s model university in Badulla
The Uva-Wellassa University (UWU), Sri Lanka’s first all entrepreneurial university, has a set of highly disciplined students, a ragging free environment, no student unrest and from its inception in 2004 is ‘nothing short of a miracle,’ says a 2011 report reviewing the performance of this university.
 
SEC mulls regulating bank guarantees to stop casino culture

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is mulling some directives on proliferation of low cost bank guarantees backing investors to purchase Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) following complaints that the degree of over-subscription in public listings does not represent 'genuine' demand.
