Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Age and youth

By Shenara Peiris (12 years), Lyceum Int. School, Nugegoda

Age is soft and very slow,
Youth is swift like a doe.
Age has a handkerchief in his pocket,
Youth has a lovely locket.
Age wears robes of white,
Youth wears a T-shirt and tights,
Age eats porridge everyday,
Youth eats chips by the bay.
Age sits and stares at the sun,
Youth goes outside and has some fun.
Age thinks of death always,
Youth knows she has many days.
